Daily sodium is critical to all of our health matters now! When
we consume to much of the salt that is processed above 1000
degrees so is very refined and all nutritional content seems to
be removed. Then the manufacturers have to add an
anti-caking ingredient so it flows nicely from those salt shakers,
so the table salt becomes unhealthy for sure.

Use natural sea salt sparingly so you receive the natural
minerals from sea, which we all need to keep our blood
pressure in balance and our cardiovascular systems healthy.

We all need the natural salt or sodium along with potassium
to maintain that balance to keep our blood pressures in the
normal range of 120/80, thus preventing pre-hypertension
and hypertension.

Did you realize that one teaspoon of salt contains 2,325mg
of sodium and the recommended amount in a day is
1500mg? Check the labels on all those processed foods and
drinks that you and your family is consuming daily, it will
shock you, the amount of sodium that it contains. Did you
know that eating out at restaurants and purchasing
processed foods, you will always get too much sodium to
stay in the healthy range? For example a single pancake for
breakfast contains approximately 500 to 1,000mg of
sodium!

Add lots more potassium rich foods to your daily meals
such as sweet potatoes, spinach, cantaloupe, bananas,
apricots, oranges, wild caught salmon, range free meats
and those garden fresh squash at this time of year.

How much sodium per day is healthy
An article about how much sodium per day is healthy,
but we have all heard about how the sodium we
consume is too much and that we should cut back.
Publish Date: 07/11/2011 15:49
http://www.kriskris.com/how-much-sodium-per-day/

Keeping your daily sodium in balance and adding
those rich colored vegetables and fruits for your
natural potassium will improve your heart health
matters. Daily sodium can be a reason for lots more
cardiovascular diseases of today, so keep a healthy
balance, use more fresh herbs for your seasonings,
they are very delicious, try them!

Get yourselves a cookbook and learn to cook healthy
and without all those added salts to keep your daily
sodium intake healthy:

Low potassium and consuming too much table salt is a dangerous
combination when it come to our heart health matters. When
potassium and over salting the foods we eat are not kept in a good
balance we can experience cardiovascular diseases such as a heart
attack and or a stroke.l This is critical to keep our potassium foods
on the menu daily.

When we can balance our low potassium levels and keep them in
the normal range, we can deal with sodium. Most all processed
foods such as chips of any kind and canned foods all contain lots of
sodium and challenge our heart health matters, even to the point
of death.

We are addicted to the salty taste of foods and this is something
we need to challenge ourselves to gradually give up on. Adding
all kinds of herbs for flavoring will bring great health benefits. It
can be done! Start by taking the salt shaker off the table. Cook
your foods without adding salt, they will taste a bit different at
first so add a splash of lemon juice and sodium free spices to bring
out their true flavors.

Eat more raw foods to manage low potassium such as carrots,
bananas, swiss chard, yams, spinach, av0coda, grapes, if you use
milk switch to the low fat ones, and yogurt to increase potassium
levels so you can combat the dangers of to much salt or sodium.

High salt + low potassium = early death: Study
Put down the salt shakers. Eating too much salt and too little
potassium can increase the risk of death,

Controlling the sodium levels of foods we eat and the drinks we
use daily, will help prevent hypertension and high blood
pressures which can lead to serious cardiovascular diseases.

Learning to add more potassium rich foods will balance our
low potassium so we don’t have those dangerous combinations
of low potassium and high sodium for heart disease.

are to maintain your heart health matters. Having blood pressure
readings over 140/100 is usually to high can can result in heart
attacks or strokes is not dealt with properly. Keeping the waistline
at 35 inches or less will also help you with your blood pressure.

Obesity today is causing lots of stress on the heart muscle, the
blood pressure and the bodies overall health.

Keeping the LDL cholesterol level in the range of 50 is ideal and
also keeping the HDL levels under 100 is the proper range to keep
blood healthy. Also is very important to know your blood fasting
numbers to prevent diabetes and that is usually under 100.

When you increase the raw foods in the diet to include those with
potassium, calcium and fiber this helps to monitor blood pressure
naturally. Foods play a very important part in keeping the heart
healthy and blood pressure and hypertension levels normal.

Reducing stress levels by walking and exercise is a great way also
to monitor blood pressure and weight loss.

clinician and are much more accurate than office reading as many
of us experience stress doing that.

those with lots of potassium and magnesium and low sodium to
keep our heart healthy and our blood pressures in check. All of
those healthy foods that our parents and grandparents
encouraged us to eat are those to keep our hearts healthy.

What are some of those foods? They are the raw foods diet
of fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, organic seeds and nuts, whole
grains, legumes, beans and plenty of water. What foods do I
need to get rid of to keep my heart healthy? Those french
fries and use a baked potato with the skin, those high fructose
drinks and drink water, those pre-packed processed foods filled
with all those foreign names of sweeteners and sodium filled,
those super sized meal deals in the fast food places which are
loaded with all sorts of fat that cause damage to the heart, its
veins and capillaries also.

That’s a shame, said Dr. Houston, “Even if you had a very high
sodium intake, you could negate some of the negative impact
by having a high intake of potassium and magnesium.” What
we need: The Institute of Medicine now recommends that …

Isn’t it great when others offers us some ideas for that heart
healthy months and the foods we all need to be eating from our
children to ourselves to keep our heart health matters the
healthiest possible?

Heart healthy months foods need to be eaten raw for the most
powerful benefits and if making them in a smoothie is much
easier for your family then please do so. This is a great way
get your daily servings and include lots more fiber into the diet
to help manage high blood pressure and even reduce it.

Exercise is also necessary to keep our heart health and this
author offers tips on how and when to eat to help us all take
off those extra pounds accumulated over the holidays and
even over the years of neglect. Please don’t neglect your
heart heath matters.

Naturally lower blood pressure by eating foods
that are potassium rich and will help us deal
with keeping our blood pressure in the normal
ranges and for helping us lower our blood
pressure if they are becoming in the
unhealthy range.

Let’s look at some foods that are the highest
in potassium such as the seaweed from the
deep, which is usually found in our health
food stores and outlets. Sunflower seeds
are great sources but not the ones loaded
with all that salt and processing that you
see so many eating at ballgames.

There are lots of great potassium in several of
the nut family such as the brazil nut and almond,
walnuts and pecans also.

Another great potassium source that can help
us naturally lower blood pressure are to make
us a green salad of lettuces, cucumbers,
spinach, chopped garlic, tomatoes, celery,
radish, carrots, fresh mushrooms, broccoli,
some of the red and white cabbages,
chopped onion and then add a few grapes,
chopped apple to top it off. Now doesn’t that
sound delicious for a great tasting salad and
you will be treating your heart to a heart
healthy meal that will naturally lower
blood pressure.

Why don’t we bake a yam to go with our
dinner salad, top it off with some chopped
dates, dried figs, few chopped chives with
a sprinkle of cayenne and here again we
have a meal loaded with potassium for our
bodies health and good for the heart also.

Vitamins for heart health is very important for keeping our blood
pressure and hypertension in the healthy ranges and we feel great.

Do you know how many of the necessary vitamins and minerals
you are getting from your food and drinks on a daily basis? Ar
you even paying attention to your heart health? Will you wait
until, your health clinician say, You have hypertension and
your blood pressure is elevated, until you change your
daily eating habits?

When we do not get enough vitamins and minerals, we are
putting our health matters at risk for diseases such as heart
diseases and other cardiovascular diseases. Keeping our
blood pressure at the optimal levels, the glucose and
insulin level maintained, we are going to experience
much better health.

This video explains for us the importance of vitamin
for heart health and you can choose what and how you
deal with your own heart health:

Why Vitamins and Minerals Treat…

Heal and Reverse PCOS

Learn how supplements treat, heal and even reverse your
PCOS symptoms. Did you know that the medical community
is now beginning to understand how vitally important it is
for our cells to receive the correct amounts of nutrients and
minerals – such as Alpha-Lipoic Acid, Chromium, Vitamin D
and Magnesium – in order to effectively process insulin and
glucose? If fact a recent survey reported that nearly three
out of four Cardiologists, Dermatologists, and Orthopedic
specialists are now taking and/or recommending vitamin
supplements to their patients.

Balanced nutritional foods and supplements can help us
maintain our health as well as including an exercise
regiment into our daily schedules. Something as
simple as walking, dancing, yoga, and stretching
exercise will improve our heart muscle and pump
more oxygen to increase our health.

Eating a healthy diet of raw foods, organic
seeds and nuts, whole grains, legumes and
natural supplements will help us maintain
and improve our health matters on a daily
basis.

The heart is a muscle and needs the minerals of magnesium,
potassium and calcium to remain balanced for it to work properly.
So where do we find the necessary minerals that we need to keep
our blood pressure in the optimal range of 120/80? Did you
know that almost all raw fruits and raw vegetables contribute
to our heart health matters?

Having high blood pressure is very dangerous to our heart health,
our kidney health and the health of our blood vessels. High blood
pressure contributes to the statistics of being the number one
killer of persons living around the world.

Diet & Nutritional Supplements :

What Fruits & Vegetables Can Lower Blood Pressure?

There is a connection between all the foods that we put into our
bodies such as eating lots of salty foods. Eating these can put a
huge burden on our heart health matters, causing a threat to
our healthy blood pressure. Even the drinks that we purchase
have lots of sodium in them. Read the labels and see for
in controlling blood pressure that when they are out of balance with each other,
they can make salt more of a threat to healthy blood pressure.

Magnesium, potassium and calcium in balance will improve our blood pressure
and reduce our risk of heart diseases. As you will see in this video, we need to

Potassium and heart health is important as potassium is a vital
element in our bodies. Our heart requires it to beat properly
and it also regulates our blood pressure. Potassium is needed
for muscle strength and function, if we don’t have the proper
levels we can have cramping, weakness and be tired all the
time.

Fainting can be an issue when the potassium levels get to low
in our systems. Low potassium can also cause heart
palpitations and irregular heart beating. It can bring about
feeling depressed, being confused and sometimes even
hallucinations. Being really thirsty is another possible
symptom that we can have when our potassium is
getting really low.

What are some foods to help us with our potassium

and heart health? Bananas are made of approximately
11% potassium, 20% Vitamin B6, 15% of our Vitamin C,
16% of our dietary fiber we need on a daily basis. They
are also soothing to our stomachs.

Bananas contain that important soluble fiber that
helps to lower blood cholesterol, reduce strokes,
and other cardiovascular heart disease.

Did You know that bananas are sodium free and
that also makes them good for the heart health?

Eating 2 bananas a day will keep our potassium level up.

Bananas help with our stress levels and we can sleep
better when eat bananas every day.

Did you know that bananas are great for those with
diabetes as they help maintain the blood sugar levels
also? Snack on bananas in moderation!

Some other potassium rich foods are grilled salmon,
1 cup of steamed broccoli, 1/2 cup steamed spinach,
1 cup raw cauliflower, 1/2 of an avocado and if you
are a meat eater, 4 oz. beef such a the sirloin for less
fat or about a cup of chopped white meat of chicken.

Most nuts are healthy if left in their natural state,
which means unsalted. The number one nut is the
pistachio nut as its got the most potassium and offers
3o different vitamin, minerals and phytonutrients.

Pistachios are great then to eat to help lower our bad
cholesterol levels and raise the good cholesterol levels.

This video offers tips about potassium and heart

health for all of us:

Pistachios – The Low Fat Low Calorie Nut

www.nutritionalchoice.net Holistic Nutrition Consultant, Karen Roth,
MS, NC talks about the health benefits of pistachios. Pistachios have
been called the Skinny Nut,” because they are one of the lowest
calorie, AND lowest fat nuts; Full of fiber and protein, pistachio
help you feel fuller longer. A serving size is ½ cup with shells on,
or ¼ cup if shelled. One serving of pistachios has 3 grams of fiber.
That’s more than most other snack nuts and more than many
types of whole fruit. Pistachios have more potassium than any
other nut. Did you know a serving of pistachios has more
potassium than half of a large banana? Per serving,
pistachios have more antioxidants than green tea.

Pistachios are a “hearty” snack offering more
cholesterol fighting phytosterols than any other
nut. The green color in pistachios comes from
a compound called lutein which helps
prevent the most common form of blindness
in older adults. Pistachios offer more than 30
different vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.

Pistachio nuts have also been shown to improve
cardiovascular health. According to a study
published in the American Journal of Clinical
Nutrition, pistachios may lower LDL (bad)
cholesterol levels and increase HDL (good)
cholesterol levels. Pistachios go really good
in salads and you can toss them in your
yogurt or oatmeal.
