Heart health matters tips:

Heart health matters to every age from babies to our elders. Why?
because our heart needs exercise, proper diet and lots of water to
keep us healthy and very much alive. Heart health or the lack
thereof, is the leading cause of death in this country, because I
guess we think we don’t have to take care of it or something. What
is your reason for not considering our heart health matters?

Healthy Heart Eating Tips:

Are we including those raw foods, organic seeds and nuts for
that important Omega 3, eating lots more beans and legumes for
that fat free protein for our heart muscle also, drinking lots more
water instead of all those energy drinks, caffeine drinks and
soda’s, yes even the diet ones are dangerous to our heart health
matters.

Are we exercising our heart muscle for approximately 30
minutes a week by walking to raise our heart rate? Do we take
the stairs instead of the elevators, park a distance away from
our shopping places, run and play with the children and
grandchildren? If not, our heart heath depends on a strong
muscle to keep us moving and active. Exercising lowers that
high blood pressure and improve all of our cardiovascular
needs.

Are we cutting those unhealthy fats from our diets when
cooking at home or eating out in those restaurants? Are we
drinking more water with fresh lemon instead of those soda’s
and sweetened drinks? Yes, that improves our heart health
also. Are we overdoing the usage of salt, such as the refined
salt that is in the salt shaker? We need less than one teaspoon
of sodium daily.

types will also reduce the quantity of fats which have
accumulated in your blood stream. There’s a two-prong attack
essential to relieve the issue.

Dietary items that reduce LDL – the unhealthy cholesterol
substance – in the system have to be increased; and those which
increase LDL have to be reduced in intake. Without using this dual
approach, the results are going to be neutral in the effort to make
the modification to improve heart health.

Foods that lower cholesterol attack the problem in three distinct
ways. One group of foods gives you soluble fiber. These kinds of
fibers attach themselves to the cholesterol cells and then eradicate
them before they end up in the circulatory system. Other types
provide the polyunsaturated fats that directly fight these cells to
decrease your cholesterol levels. The third group of these health
problem fighters block the body’s capacity to absorb cholesterol.
The foods that fall under the group that offer the soluble fiber are
oatmeal and cold oat-based cereals such as Cheerios. When they
are consumed for breakfast, these food types start your day off
with 1 to 2 grams of dietary fiber. Including a banana or some
strawberries contributes another half gram. Nutrition tables
suggest 20 to 35 grams of fiber a day which includes 5 to 10 grams
of soluble fiber. Foods that include this nutrient can include
barley and other whole grains, in addition to beans, eggplant, okra,
nuts, apples, grapes, and citrus fruits. Nuts include other nutrients
also that add to heart health. Also substituting various vegetable
oils for butter in different recipes decreases LDL.

There are nutrients called sterols and stanols that reduce your
body’s capacity to absorb cholesterol. These particular nutrients
are currently being added to orange juice, margarine, granola bars,
and chocolate by food manufacturers. Sterols and stanols can also
be purchased independently as dietary supplements.

Other dietary foods that lower cholesterol include soy and soy
based products like tofu and soy milk. These are modestly
effective in aiding the body with valuable adjustments to bad
cholesterol. Additionally in this particular group of foods are fatty
fish. This kind of fish delivers omega-3s that cut down triglycerides
in the blood stream. Focusing on only one or two of these kinds of
dietary foods is not the best strategy to effectively achieve the
objective of LDL reduction. It is actually a great deal better to
feature a combination of them in your everyday diet program.

There may be a bit of adjustment required to get used to
different textures and flavors when you incorporate brand new
foods in the diet. Nonetheless, the benefits of lower blood pressure
levels and also a healthier heart are well worth the sacrifice.

Lots of people do cardiovascular work to manage weight issues. And
while this is a valid approach, cardiovascular exercise has the added
benefit of improving the health of your heart.

However, simply knowing that cardio is good is usually not sufficient
motivation to start a cardio program.

So here are some specific ways in which cardio can reduce your risk
of heart disease:

1. Less clogging: Your arteries need to have a nice level of blood flow
in order to prevent clots and other blockages. And cardio is a great
way to get this streamlined flow of blood.

2. A bigger, better and stronger heart muscle: Just like any other
muscle in your body, your heart will get bigger and stronger as you
stress it with cardio. And if it’s bigger and stronger, it can do its job
with less effort. In the long run, this will keep it healthier.

3. Pressure stabilization: High blood pressure puts a lot of stress on
your arteries and can cause nicks and tears. With a strong cardio
program, you can reduce this effect.

4. More HDL (good) cholesterol: HDL is the king of heart health. It’s
a primary molecule that scavenges harmful substances in your
blood. Moreover, populations with the highest amounts of HDL
tend to live the longest.

5. Better insulin control: Excess levels of sugar and excess levels of
insulin can wreak havoc on the elasticity of your blood levels. And
compromised elasticity is not good for your heart health. You see,
the more elastic your arteries are the healthier your heart will be.

6. Better weight control: Fat is being considered an endocrine organ
since it actively secretes bad substances into general circulation.

The good news here is that cardio can help reverse this by reducing
how much you weigh.

Hopefully, you are now convinced that cardio should be a part of
your daily routine.

Now the key here is to simply start taking action now and not wait.

Because if you wait too long, your motivation will fade!

flabby arms sufferer, teaches how to tone your arms efficiently.

The body requires a constant source of oxygen-rich blood in order to
function properly. Once the organs and tissues use up the oxygen, the
blood flows to the heart to pick up more. It arrives in the chambers on
the right side, after which it is pumped to the lungs. The lungs replenish
the blood with oxygen, and send it back to the heart (this time, the left
side). From there, it is pumped back out to the body.

When the heart is unable to pump sufficient blood to the body, the
patient experiences heart failure (HF). Despite what many people believe,
this does not mean the heart has stopped working. Instead, it is not
working as it should. Sometimes, the chambers become weak, and unable
to pump as strongly as necessary. Other times, the chambers pump well,
but are unable to fill with enough blood.

The condition does not occur suddenly. It happens over time, and
presents warning signs along the way. In this article, we’ll describe the
symptoms that are most common.

Shortness of Breath

When the organ begins to fail, the patient may experience a secondary
condition called pulmonary edema. This is an accumulation of fluid
inside the lungs (specifically, the air sacs). It causes congestion, and
makes breathing difficult. It may display as wheezing or an inability to
take deep breaths.

Many people experience shortness of breath without considering it may
be related to HF. This is especially the case when it occurs shortly
following strenuous physical activity; the patient may think he has
simply overexerted himself.

Persistent Fatigue

Fatigue is different than merely being tired. With fatigue, the patient
suffers from a marked loss of energy. Because it can be caused by
prolonged physical activity, sleep deprivation, and many other factors,
patients often dismiss it. But it can also be caused by a lack of oxygen in
the body. When fatigue become a chronic problem, it is often a sign of
heart failure.

Sudden Change In Weight

Patients suffering from heart failure may experience fluctuations in their
weight. This is usually due to the presence of excess fluid in – and its
removal from – the body. The patient’s weight increases as fluid
accumulates, and decreases as it is excreted.

Fluid accumulation and weight gain are typically accompanied by swelling
in the feet and occasionally, the abdomen. With the latter case (called
ascites), fluid builds up in the peritoneal cavity, a sign of advanced liver
disease.

Chest Pain

Even though chest pain can be caused by many variables (i.e. heartburn,
anxiety, pericarditis, etc.), it is a common sign of heart failure. The patient
may feel a squeezing sensation as pain spreads to his jaw, neck, and
shoulders. These symptoms, when they are attributable to HF, are caused
by the heart muscle not receiving sufficient oxygen through the coronary
arteries. The condition is called angina.

Many people neglect to seek medical care for chest pain because they
presume it stems from benign causes. If the pain dissipates when a person
changes his position, or goes away on its own after a moment, it is unlikely
to be heart failure. Otherwise, it is important to see a doctor.

Failing Appetite

Fluid accumulation can cause a patient to feel full, even when several hours
have passed since the previous meal. The fluid builds up in the liver, as well
as the small and large intestines, impairing the patient’s digestive process.
In many cases, this causes nausea.

Persistent Coughing

While coughing is usually associated with a problem in the lungs or air
passages, it may also indicate heart failure. It presents in different ways.
Sometimes, the patient will produce a small bit of blood with the cough.
Other times, it is completely dry. In both cases, it may be accompanied by
signs of breathing difficulty, such as wheezing. The cough is typically due
to fluid buildup in the lungs.

Heart failure results in hundreds of thousands of deaths each year. Many
people are unaware they suffer from it. If you notice any of the symptoms
described above, consult a doctor to determine their cause.

Fight heart disease with folic acid!

Be good to your heart this holiday season by eating foods rich in
folic acid. When the heart is healthy and pumping your blood
freely throughout your body, it helps with avoiding the
depression that seems to come with the holidays, those really
tired feelings and if you bruise easily from bumping into furniture
or other objects, it will help you.

Folic acid is found in lots of our fresh raw foods such as all those
leafy dark vegetables, those carrot and celery stick we prepare for
our family get togethers, those organic seeds and nuts we eat-the
unsalted ones, and of course we need those foods from the legume
and bean groups as they have a great deal of folic acid in them to
protect our heart health and our bodies, why even the bowl of
lentil soup can have upwards of 90% of our daily folic acid in them.

Most of us do not get our daily requirements of folic acid, so we
need to pay more attention to the foods we are eating and include
them daily and more than once daily. Some of our foods are
enriched with folic acid but as you know eating the fresh raw fruits
and fresh raw vegetables improves the entire bodies health matters.

Arteries are our transportation for our oxygenated blood to
nourish our bodies. Keeping our arteries healthy is up to us and
that starts with a diet rick in raw foods, organic seeds and nuts,
beans and legumes, healthy fats, drinking water and exercising
daily.

When we choose to indulge in tons of processed foods with high
fructose corn syrups, preservatives, high sodium and drink lots
of fluids that contain these ingredients, we are not protecting
our heart health matters or keeping our arteries clean as they
were created. We begin this process of eating foods that are
unhealthy and full of fats and sugars we do not need and the
buildup starts early in life.

When arteries become clogged and filled with plaque, the blood
flow is challenged and this is when we start to experience sudden
heart attacks, strokes and other forms of cardiovascular diseases.
We can not see our arteries so we do not see a heart attack or
stroke approaching and this can be fatal when it becomes a serious
health matter.

Heart health means choosing the proper foods to keep the heart
healthy, pumping blood easily, free from high cholesterol, high
triglycerides, proper blood glucose levels, and the muscle
exercised to maintain is strength in doing all of the life giving
tasks.

What we eat and how much we exercise to raise the heart rate
daily usually will tell if we keep our hearts healthy and avoid
having a heart attack, strokes of all kinds, diabetes and all the
other hosts of cardiovascular diseases. When we become lazy
and obese, our heart health declines and then even a sudden
heart attack or stroke appears out of nowhere, this is why its
called the ‘silent killer’. This is affecting all ages and especially
in our youth.

How about checking out these heart health tips that any age
can use for our heart health matters on a daily basis:

Very Best Tips For Maintaining A Heart Healthy

It is impossible to eat healthy our whole lives, despite the fact
that we might try difficult to do it. Eating for a Healthy Heart is
a thing everyone should attempt to do, especially when thinking
about restoring health …

Something as simple as walking several times a week, taking the
stairs instead of an elevator, parking further away from an
event or when getting groceries can improve your heart health
very quickly. Swimming, gardening, playing games with the
children will improve all of the heart health matters. Walking
the dog is important for its heart and weight also, so why not
do it together?

One of the best ways to keep our heart health to improve is to
use fats that are heart healthy, eating whole grains, fresh fruits
and vegetables such as apples and leafy green vegetables, cut
out using butter and margarine’s for seasonings and add lemon
and fresh herbs which will add to the bodies defenses and not
allow that cholesterol to cling to the arteries and that fat to
buildup in our arteries either.

Heart health is the most important thing we need to concentrate
on as it’s our most important organ in our bodies, it does not
matter what age, the health needs to be healthy. Heart health
starts when a woman becomes pregnant and diet is critical to
the babies health as well as for hers.

When we do not consume a healthy diet rich in raw fruits, raw
vegetables, organic seeds and nuts, whole grain foods such as
brown rice and whole grain breads, eating lots of legumes and
beans and drinking lots of water, we do our heart health
damage. When a diet consists of fatty foods, fried foods, lots
of salty snacks, using refined salts instead of sea salt and
natural salts, eating lots of fatty meats, drinking alcohol
excessively and drinking lots of caffeine and fructose
sweetened drink, we will damage our heart health.

Heart attack is a serious health risk for every person, young and
older. There are more dying in American of a heart attack than
cancer today. Women are especially at risk, as they are the
caretakers instead of taking care of their health matters. The
statistics are pretty scary ladies, so lets get on the band wagon
and take action to prevent a heart attack from happening to us
suddenly. There’s over 8 million of us women and 10% of them
are under 65 years of age. Ladies, its about 6 times as many of
us will die from a heart attack as those that die of having breast
cancers.

So what can we do to prevent a heart attack? We can watch our
weight especially that belly fat. We can change our diets to
include lots more raw foods, organic seeds and nuts, extra lean
proteins that include brown rice, beans and all the legumes,
drink more water and at least add walking for our exercise
programs.

We have a lot of the same symptoms as men, but we also need
to include that sudden numbness or cold sweats, incredible
indigestion, dizziness and extreme back pain. These all can be
a sign of a heart attack and needs our immediate attention.

Heart attacks can do a lot of bodily damage to our health
matters so take signs seriously. Prevent disability, stokes and
paralysis from happening by quick action.

Heart Disease kills more women each year than cancer.

Almost one out of every three women will die of Heart
Disease. Early detection and diagnosis is key to defeating the
number one killer of Women. HOW CAN THIS BE? is an exciting,

To prevent a heart attack, we must monitor our blood
pressures, watch our triglyceride levels, check our good
and bad cholesterol levels, watch our weight, especially our
BMI, make that change in our diet for lots more raw foods
and doing exercise several times a week.

about and helping each other to prevent a heart attack:

Heart health is so important as obesity, diabetes and other
cardiovascular disease are on the rise. Heart health is
something that all of us can do something about naturally.

Heart disease is the number one killer of all ages today,
yes, even cancers. Education is one of these heart health
tips and that is another reason February is Heart Health
Month.

Here are some heart health tips as offered by a doctor to
help us with health health:

Are you beating the odds?
Dr. Gopinath Upamaka, cardiologist with The Toledo
Hospital, discusses general heart health in the the Glass
City region in this edition of FOX Toledo Talk Back.
you beating the odds?

What kinds of excuses do we use when it comes to our
heart health matters? Are we too busy to check our
blood pressures, our triglycerides levels, our blood sugar
levels, to exercise at least 10 minutes a day to raise our
heart rate, to cook properly, to drink healthy fruits juices
and vegetables juices or smoothies, to take care of our
heart health matters?

Please don’t wait til someone has to dial the emergency
room for your heart health matters. Yes, strokes, heart
attacks and diabetes are on the rise and so are deaths
from cardiovascular diseases.

Change your eating habits to eating lots more raw foods,
increasing the use of unsalted nuts, drink more water,
cut back on those fatty meat dishes and all those sugar
loaded desserts and drinks. Do this before its to late!
