Hypertension is Kids today is a serious health issue. When taking children in for their check-up be sure and ask the health nurse to take the blood pressure of your children. Do you realize that hypertension in your child can cause learning problems and they may also then have attention problems due to high blood pressure?
Hypertension in Kids can lead to kidney failure, strokes and all of the adult issues of those with high blood pressure, that is why it is so important to have your kids blood pressure under control. It is just as serious for a child as it is for adults.
Childhood obesity is another cause of hypertension and they need to be watchful of their salt intake, take part in an exercise program and hopefully this will control their blood pressure so you do not have to put them on medications.
