Pumpkin for the heart, you know, the ones sitting on your front porches and you are using for decoration. Yes they can protect the heart and high blood pressure.

Pumpkin is loaded with phenols-a healthy antioxidant that is also in lots of other plant based foods. Those phenols will help relax those blood vessels and of course, they means a healthier heart beat and improved blood pressures.

Pumpkin for the heart includes using the pumpkin seeds also. Scoop them out and dry them on a rack and then roast them in a slow oven to eat. Pumpkin seeds are really filled with alpha-linolenic acid, that good fat that we need for our heart protection of the blood vessels. If you choose to use salt on them , use organic sea salt, not the table salt with all the nutrients missing.

There are lots of ways to incorporate pumpkin for the heart into your diet these days. Add some cooked pumpkin to soups, desserts and get yourself you heart protection. Don’t forget that sugar-free, crust-less pumpkin pie for dessert for nutrition for the heart health.

You see, pumpkin is also a great source for heart health as it is a good source of magnesium, potassium, some good fiber, and then there is the Vitamin C and Vitamin E.
